Job summary

As an OpenShift Operator, you will be responsible for the operation, support, and continual improvement of the Bank’s enterprise OpenShift platform, ensuring a secure and scalable hosting environment.

Qualifications

• Experience in regulated environments with formal risk and control requirements
• Exposure to SRE or reliability engineering practices
• Experience supporting hybrid or private cloud OpenShift platforms
• Experience working with vendors for technical issue resolution
• Passion for mentoring and knowledge sharing

Responsibilities

• Operate OpenShift clusters across environments in accordance with defined platform standards
• Execute upgrades, patching, and maintenance activities with appropriate validation and recovery controls
• Investigate incidents, perform root cause analysis, and implement permanent fixes
• Build and improve automation and operational tooling
• Implement and maintain observability to support proactive operations
• Operate platform security controls in line with defined policies
• Maintain and improve operational documentation
• Participate in a structured on-call rota for out-of-hours support
