Oracle OCI Multi Cloud Engineer

Job summary

Designs, delivers, and operates Oracle-centric cloud architectures across OCI and hyperscalers, supporting data centre exits, cloud migrations, and secure landing zones. The role owns solution design and assurance while covering Oracle Database and EBS administration, Linux infrastructure, and automation with technologies including Terraform, Ansible, GoldenGate, and RMAN.

Qualifications

• Experience administering Oracle Database 11g, 12c, or 19c.
• Experience with Oracle RAC, Data Guard, RMAN, and ASM.
• Experience administering Oracle EBS R12.1 or R12.2, including cloning and patching.
• Experience migrating Oracle EBS to cloud environments.
• Hands-on experience with OCI compute, networking, storage, and database services.
• Experience with at least one additional hyperscaler: Azure, AWS, or GCP.
• Experience as a Solution Architect on complex, multi-workload programmes.
• Ability to produce and own enterprise-standard high-level and low-level designs.
• End-to-end experience with data centre exit programmes, from discovery through decommissioning.
• Strong Linux or Unix administration skills; RHEL or Oracle Linux preferred.
• Proficiency in Bash or Python scripting.
• Experience with Terraform or Ansible for infrastructure automation.
• Strong communication skills with technical and non-technical stakeholders, including senior leaders.
• OCI Architect Associate or Professional certification.
• At least one hyperscaler certification: Azure AZ-104 or AZ-305, AWS Solutions Architect Associate or Professional, or GCP Professional Cloud Architect.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end solution architecture for Oracle and multi-cloud programmes, from requirements through delivery and handover.
• Present solution proposals, architecture options, and business cases to senior stakeholders and governance boards.
• Lead architecture assurance and design reviews for security, performance, resilience, and compliance.
• Produce high-level and low-level designs for Oracle and multi-cloud infrastructure.
• Design and build cloud landing zones across OCI, Azure, AWS, and GCP.
• Administer and optimise Oracle Database environments on-premises and in the cloud.
• Administer Oracle EBS environments, including patching, cloning, and upgrades.
• Lead data centre exit programmes, including discovery, dependency mapping, migration planning, and cutover.
• Automate cloud provisioning with Terraform, Ansible, and OCI Resource Manager.
• Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines for infrastructure and database changes.
