Job summary

The Platform Engineer deploys, manages, and supports AI/ML infrastructure across enterprise Kubernetes environments, including LlamaIndex Cloud and KDB.AI. The role builds secure, scalable deployment pipelines with GitOps tools such as Flux CD and ArgoCD, maintains Helm charts and CI/CD systems, and manages secrets with HashiCorp Vault. It also supports Kubernetes networking, databases and middleware, production troubleshooting, and platform reliability across development, QA, and production environments.

Qualifications

• At least 3 years of experience managing production Kubernetes clusters.
• At least 2 years of experience with Flux CD, ArgoCD, or similar GitOps tools.
• Advanced experience developing and managing Helm charts.
• Hands-on experience with HashiCorp Vault and secrets management.
• Experience with Artifactory or a similar container registry.
• Strong CI/CD pipeline experience with GitHub Actions, Jenkins, or equivalent tools.
• Experience administering PostgreSQL, MongoDB, Redis, and RabbitMQ.
• Knowledge of database high availability and failover configurations, including PgBouncer and HAProxy.
• Strong Linux or Unix administration and Bash or PowerShell scripting skills.
• Knowledge of Kubernetes networking, Ingress, and Gateway API.
• Experience troubleshooting production infrastructure and application issues.

Responsibilities

• Deploy and manage AI/ML applications, including LlamaIndex Cloud and KDB.AI, across development, QA, and production environments.
• Implement automated GitOps workflows using Flux CD, ArgoCD, or similar tools.
• Administer production Kubernetes clusters across multiple environments.
• Configure HashiCorp Vault and ExternalSecrets for secrets management.
• Maintain CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions, Jenkins, or similar platforms.
• Configure OIDC authentication with Microsoft Entra ID in collaboration with the identity management team.
• Create, maintain, and optimize Helm charts and Kubernetes manifests.
• Configure Kubernetes networking, Ingress, and Gateway API components.
• Monitor application and infrastructure performance and troubleshoot production issues.
• Support PostgreSQL, MongoDB, Redis, and RabbitMQ infrastructure.
• Maintain database high availability and failover configurations using PgBouncer and HAProxy.
• Develop infrastructure documentation, procedures, runbooks, and reusable patterns.
• Improve platform reliability, automation, scalability, and operational efficiency.
