Job summary
Provides senior-level platform engineering, infrastructure modernization, and Tier 3 technical support for the DFAS Common Computing Environment (CCE) NIPRNet unclassified enclave. The role develops technology roadmaps and architectures, supports migration to DoD-certified cloud and hybrid environments, and reengineers infrastructure for Zero Trust and IPv6 while meeting DoD cybersecurity requirements. The work also includes Windows Server administration, change control, infrastructure tuning, and priority support ticket processing.
Qualifications
- 10 or more years of enterprise systems architecture experience.
- Expert-level Windows Server administration.
- Expert-level security architecture experience.
- Experience with NIPRNet unclassified network environments.
- Proficiency with SQL, SCOM, MECM, VMware or Nutanix virtualization, and Directory Services.
- Experience with Azure cloud migration and hybrid environments.
- Knowledge of IPv6 implementation and transition.
- Experience developing technology roadmaps and architecture documentation.
- Demonstrated Zero Trust Network Architecture implementation experience.
- Active Secret security clearance.
- United States citizenship and ability to pass a background check.
Responsibilities
- Provide senior-level platform engineering support for the DFAS CCE NIPRNet unclassified enclave.
- Process priority Tier 3 DFASNow support tickets in accordance with priority compliance targets.
- Provide on-time inputs to the CCE Change Control Board.
- Develop the ITI five-year technology roadmap and architecture.
- Engineer migration to DoD-certified cloud solutions and hybrid environments.
- Evaluate infrastructure for cost reduction, service improvement, and capability enhancement.
- Reengineer infrastructure to support next-generation architecture protocols and Zero Trust.
- Conduct scheduled infrastructure tuning.
- Support IPv6 processing and validation.
