Platform Engineer (Atlassian)

Job summary

BCI is seeking a Platform Engineer to manage and enhance their Atlassian ecosystem, specifically Jira and Confluence. The role involves collaborating with teams to configure, maintain, and improve the platform, ensuring high-quality product delivery in an Agile environment.

Qualifications

• Up to 5+ years of experience as a Platform Administrator, Platform Engineer, Developer or Software Engineer
• Experience configuring both on-premise and cloud-based environments
• Experience with Agile and DevOps methods
• Experience working as part of a technical team
• Experience with Atlassian administration and platform security
• Foundational knowledge of programming languages
• Experience managing the Atlassian Marketplace app lifecycle
• Proficiency using AI assistants and agentic tools
• Excellent customer-service and communication skills
• Exposure to the investment management industry is an asset

Responsibilities

• Lead technical delivery and continuous improvement for the Atlassian platform
• Collaborate with development teams and managers
• Lead technical requirements for the Atlassian platform
• Develop platform maturity roadmaps
• Design, configure, and maintain platform capabilities
• Deliver projects and develop technical documentation
• Develop and implement platform standards and guidelines
• Contribute to procurement processes
• Proactively identify risks and issues
• Create and maintain positive working relationships
• Apply knowledge of Agile methods
• Identify and drive AI-assisted workflows
• Undertake special projects or assignments
