Job summary
The Platform Engineer role is centered on designing and delivering platform capabilities that enhance the efficiency of development teams across ICT. Key responsibilities include building reusable platform products, developing Infrastructure as Code solutions, and creating CI/CD pipelines while engaging with stakeholders to gather feedback and improve services.
Qualifications
- Experience with Identity, security and access management concepts
- Observability, monitoring, metrics and alerting practices
- Networking fundamentals including DNS, IP routing and network segmentation
Responsibilities
- Design, build and maintain reusable platform products and services
- Develop and maintain Infrastructure as Code (IaC) solutions and automation capabilities
- Create, maintain and optimise CI/CD pipelines and DevOps workflows
- Provide consultation and guidance to internal teams
- Conduct customer interviews and proactively engage stakeholders
- Translate technical concepts into clear business language
- Monitor success measures, gather feedback and showcase platform achievements
- Implement rapid feedback loops to continually improve platform products and services
- Contribute to platform roadmaps, backlogs and strategic initiatives
- Mentor and support colleagues
