Platform Engineer

Job summary

Betfred is seeking a Platform Engineer to build, operate, and improve the platforms that support their engineering teams, focusing on enhancing software deployment and reliability.

Qualifications

• Background in Platform/OS engineering, Linux and Windows experience preferred
• Experience with configuration management tools like Ansible and Terraform
• Experience with Docker and Kubernetes
• Strong AWS skills, including EC2, S3, IAM, and VPC/network configuration
• Experience with VMWare, especially vSphere, NSX, VCF
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
• Ability to work under pressure and seek support when needed
• Ability to evaluate competing products for company needs
• Ability to automate complex processes using standard tools
• In-depth knowledge of cloud environments and technology stacks

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain infrastructure using Terraform, Ansible, and Python
• Support and improve CI/CD pipelines and deployment workflows
• Operate and enhance Kubernetes environments
• Troubleshoot issues with engineering teams
• Contribute to platform standards and documentation
• Automate repetitive tasks
