Job summary
Flair Airlines is seeking a Platform Engineer (DCS) to support the configuration, integration, reliability, and ongoing development of its Departure Control System and related airport passenger-processing platforms.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
- Relevant certifications in systems administration or IT service management.
- Minimum of three to five years of experience supporting a Departure Control System.
- Hands-on experience with IATA passenger and baggage messaging standards.
- Experience supporting integrations with airport common-use platforms.
- Experience developing and maintaining APIs and system integrations.
- Experience conducting UAT and supporting production releases.
Responsibilities
- Configure, maintain, and support Flair's Departure Control System (DCS).
- Build and maintain airport, station, and flight-specific configurations.
- Administer user and role-based access for DCS applications.
- Apply and validate DCS platform patches and updates.
- Support and troubleshoot integrations between the DCS and airport platforms.
- Coordinate with airport authorities on system connectivity.
- Support integration with baggage handling and reconciliation systems.
- Assist with the rollout of biometric boarding and self-service technologies.
- Develop and troubleshoot IATA-standard passenger and baggage messaging.
- Build and maintain APIs and integration points between systems.
- Monitor message flow and data integrity.
- Maintain integration documentation.
- Monitor DCS platform health and performance.
- Act as the technical escalation point for DCS-related incidents.
- Participate in major incident response and reviews.
- Support disaster recovery and business continuity planning.
- Design and execute test plans for DCS changes.
- Manage the technical relationship with the DCS vendor.
- Participate in change management processes.
- Prepare and maintain technical documentation.
