Platform Engineer

Job summary

The Platform Engineer supports and improves enterprise endpoint management and workplace technology services, ensuring devices remain secure, compliant, reliable, and well managed throughout their lifecycle. The role configures Microsoft Intune and Windows Autopilot, maintains Azure Virtual Desktop, deploys applications across Windows, macOS, mobile, and virtual desktop environments, resolves incidents, and automates operational tasks using PowerShell and Microsoft Graph.

Qualifications

• Experience in a large-scale enterprise endpoint management environment.
• Experience administering Microsoft Intune and endpoint management solutions.
• Understanding of endpoint compliance, device security, and modern workplace technologies.
• Experience packaging, deploying, and supporting enterprise applications.
• Experience supporting device lifecycle and asset management processes.
• Experience supporting mobile device management solutions.
• Familiarity with IT service management processes and platforms such as ServiceNow.
• Experience with security and compliance frameworks such as ISO 27001 and Cyber Essentials.
• Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills.
• Experience with scripting, automation, or process improvement.

Responsibilities

• Administer and improve the endpoint management platform.
• Manage device provisioning, deployment, maintenance, refresh, and retirement.
• Configure and maintain Microsoft Intune, Autopilot, and related endpoint technologies.
• Implement endpoint compliance policies, configuration standards, and security controls.
• Package, test, deploy, and maintain applications across Windows, macOS, mobile, and virtual desktop environments.
• Identify and remediate endpoint security vulnerabilities.
• Manage mobile device enrolment, configuration, and policies.
• Support enterprise print management services.
• Maintain Azure Virtual Desktop availability and performance.
• Investigate and resolve endpoint, application, and workplace technology incidents and service requests.
• Develop automation and scripting solutions to improve operational efficiency.
• Maintain technical documentation, procedures, and knowledge articles.
• Identify improvements to device management, user experience, and operational processes.
