Platform Engineer

Job summary

As a platform engineer, you will enhance the internal developer platform by creating tools, templates, and guardrails that facilitate efficient and secure software development. Your role involves working with Azure, AWS, Kubernetes, and GitLab to streamline software delivery, implement CI/CD pipelines, and improve the developer experience through self-service solutions.

Qualifications

• Practical experience with cloud engineering, Kubernetes, DevOps, or platform engineering.
• Good understanding of software delivery, CI/CD, infrastructure automation, and operational responsibility.
• Experience with at least one programming or scripting language; knowledge of Python is a plus.
• Proficient in Dutch and/or English.

Responsibilities

• Build and improve reusable platform solutions, such as deployment templates, pipelines, golden paths, and self-service tooling.
• Work with Azure, AWS, and Kubernetes on secure, scalable, and reliable application platforms.
• Contribute to GitOps practices with ArgoCD and GitLab-based CI/CD pipelines.
• Assist in applying policy-as-code, observability, and automation.
• Enhance the developer experience and make platform functionality easily discoverable and usable for engineers.
