Job summary
The Senior GitLab DevSecOps Engineer delivers scoped, customer-facing GitLab Professional Services engagements in cleared federal and public-sector environments. The role administers GitLab Self-Managed and Dedicated, migrates legacy platforms, designs enterprise CI/CD and security-scanning pipelines, and deploys GitLab Duo Agent Platform workflows. It also includes customer workshops, cutovers, documentation, and knowledge transfer, requiring at least three years of DevOps or platform engineering experience and an active DoD Secret clearance.

Qualifications
- At least 3 years of hands-on DevOps or platform engineering experience
- Production GitLab administration experience with Self-Managed or Dedicated
- Experience designing, operating, and troubleshooting enterprise-scale CI/CD pipelines
- Strong written and verbal communication skills and ability to lead customer meetings
- Ability to work to a defined scope
- Active DoD Secret clearance held directly by the candidate at application time; Top Secret preferred
- Willingness to travel to customer sites when needed
- Preferred experience with Kubernetes, Terraform, cloud platforms, federal or defense programs, GitLab Duo, security scanning, STIG compliance, or cATO frameworks
Responsibilities
- Administer GitLab Self-Managed and Dedicated environments, including installation, upgrades, backup and restore, user and group management, runners, Geo replication, and performance tuning
- Lead enterprise migrations from GitHub, Bitbucket, Jenkins, Azure DevOps, or SVN using Congregate or direct transfer
- Deploy GitLab reference architectures
- Design and optimize CI/CD pipelines with security scanning and compliance framework integration
- Configure and roll out GitLab Duo Agent Platform agents and flows, and advise on governance and adoption
- Provide customer advisory, documentation, and knowledge transfer
- Lead workshops, cutovers, and secure-environment deployments
- Scope, estimate, and deliver work on schedule against statements of work
