Job summary
Hamiltonian Dynamics is seeking Platform Engineers to design, build, and operate platforms and infrastructure for secure software systems in Defence and Cyber Security. The role involves collaborating with software engineers, architects, and stakeholders to ensure reliable delivery, scalability, and operational excellence. Candidates should have strong engineering fundamentals and a willingness to learn.

Qualifications
- Strong engineering fundamentals
- Curiosity
- Willingness to learn new tools
- Experience with Infrastructure as Code and automation (e.g., Terraform, Ansible)
- Experience with containerization and orchestration (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes)
- Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure)
- Experience with CI/CD tools and modern delivery practices
- Experience with logging, monitoring, and tracing (e.g., Elastic Stack, Grafana, Jaeger)
- Familiarity with CNCF tools and cloud-native best practices
- UK citizen with at least 10 years UK residency
- Hold high-level UK security clearance
- Willingness to work on customer site in London, up to 5 days per week
Responsibilities
- Design, build, and operate secure software system platforms and infrastructure
- Work with software engineers, architects, and stakeholders for reliable delivery, scalability, and operational excellence
- Build and maintain secure, repeatable infrastructure using automation and Infrastructure as Code
- Operate and improve containerized platforms and cloud environments
- Support CI/CD pipelines and developer workflows
- Improve observability, reliability, and operational resilience
- Collaborate across teams to evolve platform standards and tooling
