Job summary
Harper is seeking a Platform Engineer to build and optimize core infrastructure systems that support engineering operations.
Qualifications
- Software engineering experience focused on platform, infrastructure, or SRE
- Proficiency in Python, TypeScript, Go, or similar languages
- Production experience with AWS, Postgres, and observability tooling
- Track record of building systems and tooling for engineering teams
- Based in San Francisco or willing to relocate
Responsibilities
- Own core infrastructure including databases, AWS services, networking, and CI/CD
- Build for scale with thousands of concurrent AI operations and sub-second response times
- Design observability for system-level errors and business-level silent-failure detection
- Orchestrate agentic workloads with parallel agent instances
- Multiply developer velocity with tooling and abstractions
- Own reliability end-to-end including SLOs and incident response
- Build evaluation infrastructure for AI outputs
