Platform Engineer

Job summary

Seeking a qualified Junior to Mid-Level Platform Engineer to support the design, implementation, and maintenance of specialized developer platforms.

Qualifications

• 3-7 years of hands-on Linux system administration experience
• 1 year of experience with Kubernetes Clusters or related technology
• Knowledge of DevOps practices and automation
• Experience with hardware, software, and networking equipment
• Familiarity with hardware vendors and cloud providers
• Ability to create and maintain technical documentation
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
• Good communication and collaboration skills
• Experience in development and operational environments
• Active TS with SCI eligibility and willingness for polygraph
• Ability to obtain CompTIA Security+ CE certification within 6 months

Responsibilities

• Manage Linux systems on-premise and cloud infrastructure
• Provide hardware and software support for users and customers
• Collaborate with engineers to design and test features
• Support development of system documentation
• Develop techniques and tools for efficient solutions
• Maintain technical expertise in hardware, software, and networking
• Troubleshoot systems, performance, and security issues
• Follow change management best practices
• Collaborate with systems, security, and support teams
• Scripting experience in bash, python, ansible
• Remediate critical and high-risk vulnerabilities
• Deploy and manage containerized applications in Kubernetes
• Build containerized applications and test helm deployments
• Automate infrastructure tasks using Ansible, Python, or Bash
