Platform Engineer

Job summary

Len*** is seeking a Platform Engineer to join their Platform Operations team, focusing on building, automating, and operating a cloud-based data platform primarily using Snowflake, CI/CD, and AWS/Azure services.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of experience in Platform Engineering or related fields.
• Hands-on experience with Snowflake administration.
• Experience designing and maintaining CI/CD pipelines.
• Familiarity with AWS and/or Azure cloud platforms.
• Experience with ETL/ELT pipelines and streaming technologies.
• Strong scripting skills in Python, SQL, Bash, or similar.
• Experience with Git-based development workflows.
• Experience supporting production systems in an operational environment.
• Strong troubleshooting skills in cloud infrastructure and production environments.

Responsibilities

• Operate and improve cloud-based data platform with a focus on Snowflake.
• Build automation for platform reliability and efficiency.
• Monitor platform health, performance, and costs.
• Administer Snowflake environments and optimize resources.
• Tune query performance and warehouse utilization.
• Support secure data sharing and governance.
• Design and maintain CI/CD pipelines for deployments.
• Automate deployments and workflows using scripting languages.
• Support integrations between Snowflake and AWS/Azure services.
• Support ETL/ELT pipelines and streaming platforms.
• Troubleshoot production issues across data pipelines.
• Improve operational readiness through monitoring and observability.
• Participate in on-call rotation for production support.
• Perform root cause analysis and implement fixes.
• Collaborate with teams during incident response.
• Implement and maintain security controls across the platform.
• Promote automation-first operational practices.
