Job summary
TenneT is seeking a passionate Platform Engineer to manage and evolve their Azure and Kubernetes platform landscape. The role involves developing the data platform, building and operating an internal Developer Platform, and implementing SRE practices. This position is crucial for supporting TenneT's strategic goals in energy supply transformation.

Qualifications
- Completed degree in Business Informatics, Computer Science, or a comparable field, or a comparable qualification
- More than 5 years of experience in the development and operation of (data) platforms
- Profound knowledge in Kubernetes (deployment, operation, troubleshooting) and container orchestration
- Experience with cloud infrastructures (ideally Azure), hybrid setups, or on-prem Kubernetes
- Experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform/OpenTofu) and network fundamentals (VPN, ExpressRoute, Ingress, Service Mesh)
- Experience with Python and Shell scripting
- Profound knowledge in DevOps workflows, CI/CD, automated tests, and GitOps tools (ArgoCD, Flux)
- Experience in the SRE environment (SLI/SLO, observability with Prometheus, Grafana, Loki, OpenTelemetry)
- Experience in setting up and operating platforms
- Very good German and English language skills
Responsibilities
- Responsible for the platform landscape on Azure and Kubernetes
- Responsible for the further development of the data platform on Azure
- Actively shape the hybrid expansion into the company's own data center
- Take over the setup and operation of the internal Developer Platform (Git, CI/CD, artifact management, SCA/SAST, container registry)
- Provide and continuously develop infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code (Terraform/OpenTofu)
- Responsible for the design, deployment, and operation of Kubernetes workloads
- Further develop CI/CD pipelines and automations
- Introduce and further develop SRE practices (monitoring, alerting, SLOs, incident response) in close cooperation with Data Engineering and Development
