Job summary

The Platform Engineer role is centered on developing a platform that enables rapid and reliable software building, testing, and deployment. Key responsibilities include automating infrastructure management with tools like Terraform and Ansible, enhancing the developer experience, and ensuring security practices are integrated into the software development lifecycle.

Qualifications

• Experience with development and operations teams throughout the SDLC
• Effective CI/CD implementation and cloud deployment with IAC tools
• Experience in secure application deployment in AWS or Azure
• Familiarity with configuration management tools like Puppet or Ansible
• Cloud monitoring tools experience such as CloudWatch or Prometheus
• Technical background in Linux Engineering or Development/Automation
• Experience in Agile environments using Scrum or Kanban

Responsibilities

• Build and operate a platform for infrastructure provisioning and application running
• Deliver a continuous integration and deployment platform
• Enhance developer experience for cloud infrastructure and application deployment
• Develop IAC and CI/CD policies and guidelines
• Implement workflow and toolchain improvements for automation
• Prioritize security and governance in the SDLC
• Collaborate on architectural design and cloud best practices
• Promote DevOps practices across technology
• Stay updated on Cloud and DevOps best practices
• Mentor junior engineers to achieve platform objectives
