Platform Engineer

Job summary

Moment is seeking a Platform Engineer to build and maintain core shared libraries, SDKs, and code-generation tools. This role involves designing and optimizing AWS cloud infrastructure, treating the internal platform as a product for engineers, and elevating observability standards. The engineer will also mentor and lead technical standards across the company.

Responsibilities

• Architect and maintain core shared libraries, SDKs, and code-generation tools (gRPC, OpenAPI).
• Design and optimize AWS cloud infrastructure (ECS, RDS, MSK).
• Debug production performance and tune database parameters.
• Automate toil.
• Embed with product teams to understand friction points.
• Set standards for system observability and debugging.
• Improve alerting strategy to reduce noise.
• Teach engineering team troubleshooting techniques.
• Drive technical standards through documentation, guides, presentations, and mentoring.
