Platform Engineer

Job summary

Create tooling, automation, and cloud platforms to enhance software delivery across Azure and AWS, focusing on developer experience and improving platform scalability, resilience, and security.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure and/or AWS, including core cloud services.
• Software engineering background with TypeScript/Node.js (or .NET/C#) and experience in building internal platforms and automation.
• Experience implementing Infrastructure as Code and automated CI/CD pipelines using tools like Terraform or ARM templates.
• Experience with containerisation and cloud-native technologies, including Docker and Kubernetes.
• Strong knowledge of DevOps and platform engineering practices, including Agile delivery and cloud security.

Responsibilities

• Build and evolve the internal developer platform with tools and services for application development, testing, deployment, and operation.
• Develop deployment tooling and automation to simplify and accelerate software delivery across Azure and AWS.
• Identify opportunities to remove friction and improve self-service capabilities for developers.
• Design and implement cloud-native solutions using containers, Infrastructure as Code, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Collaborate with Platform Engineering, SRE, and development teams to introduce new technologies and improve platform capabilities.
