Platform Engineer

Job summary

Support, maintain, and enhance private cloud platforms, working across the full technology stack.

Qualifications

• Experience operating complex infrastructure across networking, Linux, compute, and storage.
• Strong troubleshooting and incident-response skills.
• Experience with automation and infrastructure-as-code tools.
• Good networking knowledge, including routing and switching.
• Willingness to participate in an on-call rota.

Responsibilities

• Operate and improve private cloud infrastructure across datacentres and edge locations.
• Maintain network services connecting the platform, including routing and switching.
• Manage platform lifecycle through patching, upgrades, and performance optimisation.
• Automate workflows using tools such as Ansible, Terraform, and Packer.
• Monitor platform health and respond to alerts and incidents.
• Collaborate with teams to enhance platform security and resilience.
