Job summary
Develops and maintains testing and release infrastructure for radar software and firmware, combining automated validation with testing on representative radar hardware. The role builds software-in-the-loop and hardware-in-the-loop environments, CI/CD pipelines, and reproducible test-data workflows, while ensuring releases are traceable and supported by test evidence and software bills of materials.

Qualifications
- At least 3 years of experience in software quality assurance, software test engineering, or software development infrastructure.
- Experience developing unit, integration, or system-level automated tests.
- Proficiency in Python for test automation and scripting.
- Working proficiency in C++ to understand, instrument, and debug production software.
- Experience with Git and CI/CD tooling.
- Experience with bug-tracking systems such as Jira.
- Experience testing and debugging software in Linux environments.
- Strong debugging, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Eligible to obtain and maintain an active U.S. Secret security clearance.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
Responsibilities
- Develop and execute manual and automated test plans, cases, and scripts for radar software and firmware.
- Identify, document, and track defects; work with developers to reproduce issues, debug causes, and verify fixes.
- Build software-in-the-loop and hardware-in-the-loop test infrastructure, including test rigs, emulators, and harnesses.
- Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines that run automated test suites.
- Develop tools to collect, catalog, retain, retrieve, and replay radar test data.
- Support repeatable software and firmware deployments to lab hardware, test benches, and fielded units.
- Create release-assurance workflows for test evidence, release notes, software bills of materials, artifact versioning, and traceability.
- Work with software, firmware, systems, and configuration-management teams to define release criteria and verify quality standards.
- Improve testing methods, coding standards, and release practices.
