Job summary
This hands-on Platform / DevOps Engineer builds and enhances platform capabilities that help engineering teams deliver software reliably and efficiently in a large-scale technology environment. The role develops CI/CD pipelines and reusable delivery patterns, manages cloud infrastructure with Terraform or CloudFormation, and supports Docker and Kubernetes workloads using Helm and ArgoCD. It also covers platform security, observability, production troubleshooting, and on-call support.
Qualifications
- 5–7 years of experience in DevOps, Platform Engineering, or a similar engineering role.
- Hands-on experience designing and managing CI/CD pipelines.
- Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, Terraform or CloudFormation, and AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
- Proficiency in Python, Bash, or Ruby scripting.
- Experience with GitOps, ArgoCD, Helm, and monitoring or logging tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, or ELK.
- Understanding of Kubernetes isolation, quotas, and scalability, as well as modern DevOps automation and software delivery practices.
- Strong troubleshooting, problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills.
- Preferred experience with configuration management tools, microservices, Agile delivery, networking, database management, and self-service platform capabilities.
Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines for software builds, testing, and deployment.
- Develop reusable platform capabilities, service templates, delivery patterns, pipeline components, Kubernetes baselines, and observability packages.
- Implement Infrastructure as Code with Terraform or CloudFormation and manage cloud infrastructure.
- Build and support Docker and Kubernetes workloads, Helm deployments, and platform controls for isolation, quotas, and scalability.
- Enable self-service engineering through APIs, command-line interfaces, and automated workflows.
- Implement GitOps practices using tools such as ArgoCD.
- Monitor platform performance, troubleshoot production issues, and support application integration and deployment.
- Apply security best practices, document platform configurations and processes, and participate in production on-call support.
