Job summary

The Site Reliability Engineer / Platform Engineer supports the availability, reliability, performance, and security of production platforms running on Microsoft Azure and Kubernetes (AKS). The role provides L2/L3 operations support, manages cloud infrastructure and CI/CD pipelines, automates operational tasks, and responds to security incidents using tools including Microsoft Defender, Microsoft Sentinel, and Azure Security Center.

Qualifications

• At least 3 years of relevant experience in cloud operations, SRE, DevOps, system administration, platform support, or infrastructure operations.
• Experience administering Microsoft Azure and Kubernetes, particularly AKS.
• Linux system administration experience.
• Familiarity with Azure DevOps, GitLab, or Jenkins.
• Experience with monitoring and observability tools such as Azure Monitor, Prometheus, Grafana, ELK Stack, or Splunk.
• Scripting experience with PowerShell, Python, or Bash.
• Knowledge of DNS, TCP/IP, firewalls, and load balancers.
• Knowledge of security incident response, vulnerability management, and remediation.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Defender, Microsoft Sentinel, or equivalent SIEM solutions.
• Knowledge of IAM, security hardening, and compliance practices.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to work effectively in a production support environment.
• Strong communication and cross-functional collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide L2/L3 support for production environments on Microsoft Azure and AKS.
• Monitor platform performance, availability, and reliability.
• Investigate and resolve incidents within service-level agreements.
• Participate in on-call support and critical incident management.
• Conduct root cause analysis and implement preventive measures.
• Administer, maintain, and optimize Azure services and Kubernetes clusters.
• Manage deployments, infrastructure upgrades, backups, and configuration changes.
• Improve infrastructure performance, scalability, availability, and cost efficiency.
• Triage, investigate, contain, and remediate security incidents.
• Coordinate with cybersecurity, infrastructure, application, and operations teams to resolve vulnerabilities.
• Manage and monitor security tools and implement security hardening.
• Support vulnerability assessments, audits, compliance reviews, and penetration testing.
• Maintain technical documentation, runbooks, and incident response procedures.
• Develop and optimize CI/CD pipelines.
• Automate operational, infrastructure, and security tasks using scripting and Infrastructure as Code.
