Job summary
The Platform Engineer role involves extensive experience with software installation and platform administration, particularly with SAS Viya 4 on Azure.
Responsibilities
- Manage software installation and platform administration for SAS Viya 4 on Azure.
- Migrate from SAS 9.4 to SAS Viya 4.
- Apply patches, upgrades, and hotfixes to SAS components.
- Utilize DevSecOps pipelines with Terraform, Jenkins, and others.
- Work with SAS Viya CLI and API.
- Automate deployment using Snowflake pipelines.
- Deploy and manage Azure Kubernetes Service.
- Troubleshoot issues across SAS Viya application and infrastructure.
- Monitor and ensure compliance of SAS Viya 4 Platform.
- Manage user access and integration with identity providers.
- Integrate SAS Viya 4 with enterprise systems.
- Use scheduling tools like Control-M and LSF.
- Understand change/release management processes.
- Work with Linux/Unix operating systems.
- Collaborate using Agile methodologies and tools.
- Focus on security, risk, and compliance.
- Understand microservices architecture.
- Apply Azure RBAC and network security best practices.
- Lead in technical domain expertise.
- Utilize CI/CD methodologies in cloud environments.
