Platform Engineer

Job summary

The Platform Engineer role is centered on enhancing platform strategy, cloud automation, and developer experience. Responsibilities include building, testing, and implementing cloud services using Infrastructure as Code (IaC), collaborating with software engineers, and monitoring platform performance with an SRE mindset for SLIs and SLOs, leveraging AWS cloud services and tools like CloudFormation and Terraform.

Qualifications

• Strong cloud knowledge with hands-on AWS experience
• IaC background with CloudFormation and Terraform
• Experience with ECS/EKS clusters across environments
• Knowledge of security, networking, CDN, load balancing, and storage solutions
• Understanding of CI/CD practices across environments
• Development experience in C#, python, and TypeScript

Responsibilities

• Build, test, and implement cloud services via IaC
• Work closely with software engineers to identify value-added opportunities
• Drive improvements across platform, shared tooling, modules, and packages
• Create and enhance self-serving capabilities for software teams
• Monitor platform performance with an SRE mindset for SLIs and SLOs
• Define, improve, implement, and document best practices
• Participate in on-call duties one week per month
