Platform Engineer

Job summary

The Platform Engineer role is responsible for building and maintaining the internal platform infrastructure that supports C6ISR software development and delivery pipelines. Key responsibilities include designing and operating CI/CD pipelines, managing on-premise server infrastructure, and implementing security controls in compliance with DoD RMF and CMMC requirements.

Qualifications

• Active Secret clearance (TS/SCI preferred)
• 3+ years of platform, DevOps, or infrastructure engineering experience
• Proficiency with Linux system administration, containerization (Docker/Kubernetes), and IaC tools (Terraform, Ansible)
• Experience with on-premise data center operations and network fundamentals (VLANs, firewalls, routing)
• Familiarity with DoD RMF, NIST 800-53, or CMMC compliance frameworks

Responsibilities

• Design, deploy, and operate CI/CD pipelines and internal developer tooling for cleared software programs
• Manage on-premise server infrastructure, virtualization environments, and network configuration
• Implement and enforce platform security controls in accordance with DoD RMF and CMMC requirements
• Collaborate with software engineers and program managers to define platform requirements and SLAs
• Monitor system health, respond to incidents, and conduct root cause analysis for platform-level failures
• Support ATO documentation and continuous monitoring activities for facility-hosted systems
