Job summary
The Platform Engineer maintains secure, reliable, and highly available endpoint and infrastructure platforms, using automation and operational support to reduce service disruptions. The role manages Windows and macOS environments with Microsoft Intune, SCCM/MECM, and JAMF; packages and deploys applications; and supports endpoint security, testing, patching, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement. It also covers Microsoft Defender, Active Directory, Group Policy, technical documentation, and platform performance.

Qualifications
- Relevant degree with at least four years of subsequent relevant experience, or equivalent qualifications, training, and professional experience
- Proven enterprise experience administering Intune, SCCM/MECM, and JAMF
- Experience managing Windows and macOS devices, configurations, compliance, patching, and software deployment
- Experience packaging, testing, deploying, and troubleshooting applications
- Technical skills in Microsoft Defender integration with Intune, application control, ASR rules, Active Directory, and Group Policy
- Strong documentation, analytical, troubleshooting, problem-solving, and collaboration skills
- Full unrestricted Australian work rights
- Subject to a National criminal history check
Responsibilities
- Administer and maintain Windows and macOS endpoint environments using Intune, SCCM/MECM, and JAMF
- Manage device availability, compliance, configuration standards, patching, and lifecycle
- Package, test, deploy, update, and remove applications
- Implement endpoint security controls, Microsoft Defender integration, application control, ASR rules, and security baselines
- Administer and troubleshoot Active Directory and Group Policy
- Design and execute tests for applications, configurations, platform changes, and system integrations
- Monitor infrastructure availability, capacity, performance, resource utilisation, and service levels
- Perform platform upgrades, patching, and maintenance
- Create technical documentation, procedures, deployment instructions, and operational workflows
- Automate repetitive tasks and improve platform engineering practices
- Collaborate with technical teams and stakeholders and provide technical guidance
