Platform Engineering Manager/Consultant

Job summary

EPAM is seeking a Platform Engineering Manager/Consultant in London for a hybrid role within the Data & Platform Practice. This position focuses on delivering scalable, client-centric data and AI platform solutions, acting as a bridge between technical teams and stakeholders. The role requires strong expertise in Databricks, with AWS experience preferred, and knowledge of Tableau and SAP being advantageous. Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
• 8+ years of experience in platform or data engineering roles
• Extensive experience with Databricks
• Strong knowledge of AWS services and cloud-native technologies
• Proven experience using Tableau for data visualization and reporting
• Ability to manage client relationships and deliver business-focused solutions
• Track record of leading technical teams and resolving delivery challenges
• Deep understanding of data engineering principles, ETL processes, and cloud architectures
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills

Responsibilities

• Lead and oversee end-to-end data and AI platform delivery, ensuring quality and timely execution
• Act as the primary liaison between technical teams and client stakeholders to manage expectations
• Drive the design and implementation of Databricks-centric platforms and related data products
• Guide teams in leveraging AWS storage and compute services for platform optimization
• Own integration with Tableau to enable actionable visualizations for clients
• Support SAP data integration and migration activities as required
• Identify and remove technical blockers to ensure smooth project execution
• Promote best practices in platform engineering, DevOps, and cloud operations within delivery teams
• Conduct regular project reviews and progress updates with client stakeholders
• Contribute to solution architecture, documentation, and knowledge sharing processes
