Job summary

Lead architecture, cloud strategy, and network services across Inizio's corporate IT estate, setting technical direction and managing a team of senior engineers and architects.

Qualifications

• Experience in technical management or lead architecture.
• Experience with Azure, AWS, enterprise networking, and governance.
• Experience leading senior technical teams.
• Track record in cloud adoption and architecture transformation.
• Experience with reference architectures and design standards.
• Experience in a Centre for Enablement or platform engineering.
• Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or equivalent experience.
• Senior cloud or architecture certification expected.
• Additional qualifications in security, networking, or project delivery are advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Set engineering standards and architectural direction.
• Oversee architecture governance and document solution designs.
• Maintain reference architectures and technology standards.
• Assess technologies and provide recommendations.
• Embed security and cost effectiveness into outputs.
• Lead Centre for Enablement model and deliver reusable patterns.
• Oversee cloud enablement strategy and drive Azure and AWS adoption.
• Manage cloud engineering delivery and governance.
• Provide leadership across cloud and platform toolchain.
• Manage cloud vendor relationships.
• Conduct regular 1:1s and performance reviews.
• Build a collaborative team culture.
• Identify skills gaps and develop training plans.
• Act as a technical mentor.
• Shape and communicate the roadmap for Design Engineering.
• Translate business and operational demands into priorities.
• Represent function in governance and leadership forums.
• Produce roadmaps and technical briefings.
• Ensure engineering delivery meets quality and scope expectations.
• Govern architecture and cloud changes for operational handover.
