Job summary
The Principal Software Engineer leads client engineering engagements while contributing hands-on to the design, delivery, and operation of digital products and backend services. The role combines technical leadership with responsibility for delivery quality and client outcomes, using Java, .NET/C#, Python, or TypeScript and cloud platforms such as AWS or Azure. It also promotes DevOps, reliability practices, observability, incident learning, and responsible use of AI-assisted engineering.

Qualifications
- Several years of experience building backend services across synchronous API-driven, message-driven, and event-driven integrations
- Fluency in at least one of Java, .NET/C#, Python, or TypeScript
- Recent experience building, deploying, and operating cloud-native applications on AWS or Azure
- Experience working in DevOps teams and using industry-standard practices
- Ability to produce repeatable automated tests
- Collaborative, egoless approach
- Hands-on Generative AI experience or personal Generative AI projects
- Strong stakeholder relationships and focus on measurable outcomes
- Willingness to learn new domains and technology stacks
Responsibilities
- Lead client engagements across people, delivery, quality, and commercial outcomes
- Build and deliver digital products and backend services
- Guide clients toward effective use of consultancy support
- Design operable services measured by meaningful SLIs and SLOs
- Enable logging, metrics, distributed tracing, and actionable alerting
- Contribute to incident response and blameless post-incident reviews
- Help teams adopt AI-assisted engineering safely and effectively
