Platform Reliability Engineer

Job summary

The Platform Reliability Engineer supports the reliability, performance, and operational readiness of business-critical applications and cloud platforms serving 24/7 products. The role includes incident response and root-cause analysis, automation, observability, and CI/CD improvements across Microsoft Azure and Kubernetes environments, collaborating with engineering, infrastructure, and security teams to strengthen resilience and reduce operational toil.

Qualifications

• At least 3 years of experience in SRE, platform support, cloud operations, or a similar production engineering role.
• Experience supporting highly available, business-critical services in a 24/7 environment.
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft Azure and cloud operational best practices.
• Experience supporting containerized workloads, ideally with Kubernetes and AKS.
• Knowledge of monitoring and observability tools such as Grafana, Prometheus, and Azure Monitor.
• Experience troubleshooting complex applications, cloud infrastructure, and distributed systems.
• Familiarity with automation, scripting, and CI/CD practices.
• Strong incident management, problem-solving, and analytical skills.

Responsibilities

• Support and maintain highly available, business-critical applications and cloud platforms.
• Investigate and resolve incidents, restore services rapidly, and perform root-cause analysis.
• Improve platform reliability through automation, monitoring, and continuous improvement.
• Enhance observability with dashboards, logging, metrics, tracing, and alerting.
• Support Azure-hosted services, Kubernetes environments, and cloud-native technologies.
• Contribute to CI/CD pipelines, deployment processes, and operational readiness.
• Reduce operational toil and improve resilience and service performance.
• Collaborate with software engineering, platform engineering, infrastructure, and security teams.
