Platforms/Infrastructure Engineer

Job summary

The Platforms/Infrastructure Engineer is responsible for designing, operating, and securing Microsoft Azure and hybrid infrastructure platforms. This role involves managing Microsoft Entra ID services, creating secure Azure landing zones, and utilizing Infrastructure as Code with Terraform and Bicep for automation. The engineer will also ensure platform security and compliance while supporting global infrastructure services.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of hands-on cloud and infrastructure engineering experience.
• Proven experience supporting large and complex enterprise environments.
• Experience working across distributed/global teams.
• Experience with ITIL-aligned operations.
• Strong troubleshooting and root cause analysis capabilities.
• Ability to work independently in a remote environment.
• Strong written and verbal English communication skills.
• Experience in financial services or a similarly complex enterprise environment is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, maintain, and optimise Microsoft Azure infrastructure and hybrid cloud environments.
• Design and maintain secure Azure landing zones and access controls.
• Manage and improve Microsoft Entra ID services.
• Build, harden, patch, and maintain Windows Server and Linux workloads.
• Support patching and lifecycle management for legacy operating systems.
• Design and deploy infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code.
• Develop and maintain infrastructure automation.
• Monitor platform health and performance.
• Ensure platform security and compliance.
• Participate in incident and problem management.
• Act as an escalation point for Azure and server infrastructure.
• Support highly available and resilient platforms.
• Participate in an on-call rotation for critical services.
