Job summary

This student role supports the development and operation of a Kubernetes and AI platform in a regulated environment serving risk and data management. Responsibilities include automating operations with Python, Bash, Helm, or OpenTofu; contributing to LLM inference and AI-based monitoring; and building observability dashboards and alerts with Prometheus and Grafana. The role also includes documentation and ownership of small technical projects.

• Currently studying computer science, business informatics, or a related subject.
• Initial experience with Linux, Git, and containers such as Docker, gained through studies, projects, or a homelab.
• Ability to use a scripting language such as Python or Bash.
• Interest in Kubernetes, cloud technologies, and AI, with a willingness to develop further.
• Good German and English skills.

Responsibilities

• Help build and operate the Kubernetes platform.
• Automate recurring operational tasks using Python, Bash, Helm, or OpenTofu.
• Contribute to AI projects, including setting up LLM inference services and using AI for monitoring, troubleshooting, and documentation.
• Build and improve observability dashboards and alerts with Prometheus and Grafana.
• Lead small projects, such as a proof of concept for a new tool, and present results to the team.
• Document architecture, operational procedures, and standards.
