Job summary
CreateFuture is seeking a Principal AI Platform Engineer to join their AI Platform Engineering team, responsible for building and managing infrastructure that connects engineers and client workloads to various LLM providers.

Qualifications
- proficient in Python or Go, with production experience appropriate to your level
- production experience running API gateways (Kong preferred; Envoy or Apigee accepted)
- integrated with, or are curious about, multiple LLM providers
- understand, or want to build expertise in, RBAC/OIDC
- familiar with, or interested in, MCP or comparable service-registry patterns
Responsibilities
- Build, run, and evolve the API gateway and routing layer connecting engineers and client workloads to multiple LLM providers
- Design and build orchestration and lifecycle management for AI capabilities and agents
- Implement and maintain RBAC/OIDC access controls and disciplined API key lifecycle management
- Build caching layers and cost/latency optimisation strategies
- Contribute to API design, versioning, and promotion workflows
- Bring a trust, safety, and governance lens to the platform
