Principal Cloud Architect (m/w/d)

Job summary

Devoteam is seeking a Principal Cloud Architect to design complex cloud architectures for enterprise clients across various industries. The role involves acting as a trusted technical advisor, developing cloud strategies, and leading a team of cloud architects and engineers.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of experience in cloud architecture, infrastructure engineering, or cloud consulting.
• Solid experience in designing solutions on Google Cloud, AWS, or Azure.
• Experience leading enterprise workload migrations in public cloud environments.
• Experience implementing DevOps practices, including CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure automation.
• Strong understanding of cloud infrastructures, including compute, storage, networking, and identity management.
• Experience with container technologies like Docker and Kubernetes, ideally GKE.
• Experience implementing Infrastructure-as-Code with Terraform or similar tools.
• Strong understanding of cloud networking, including VPC design, hybrid connectivity, and security controls.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to present architectural decisions to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Fluent in English.
• Fluent in German for the position in Munich.

Responsibilities

• Design and manage end-to-end migrations and architectures on Google Cloud.
• Support and mentor team members as a Subject Matter Expert.
• Communicate directly with clients and bridge client requirements with delivery teams.
• Provide technical leadership in presales activities, workshops, and client presentations.
• Create detailed architecture documentation and solution designs.
• Ensure solutions meet security, compliance, availability, and cost optimization requirements.
