Job summary
As a Principal Cloud Engineer at Wor***, you will guide the cloud adoption strategy and lead the technical aspects of transitioning to the Public Cloud, ensuring security, scalability, and reliability.
Qualifications
- 5+ years of hands-on experience with AWS or GCP
- 5+ years of experience in Ruby, Go, or Python
- 5+ years experience delivering Infrastructure-as-code using Terraform or Ansible
- 10+ years of Software Engineering experience
- 7+ years experience with Linux operating systems
- Expertise with building solutions in the Public Cloud
- Experience designing CI/CD pipelines
- Strong understanding of cloud architecture and security principles
- Proficiency in infrastructure-as-code tools
Responsibilities
- Develop a comprehensive cloud strategy aligned with the company's objectives
- Design cloud-based solutions and architectures
- Lead the migration of existing on-premises infrastructure and applications to the public cloud
- Collaborate with application teams to assess and plan the cloud readiness
- Automate deployment processes
- Establish cloud governance policies
- Implement robust security measures
- Continuously monitor and optimize cloud resources
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship
- Collaborate with cloud service providers
