Job summary

Peraton is hiring a Senior Advisor for Data Architecture to design and build a greenfield data and AI platform for federal background investigations.

Qualifications

• U.S. citizenship required
• Ability to obtain T5/SSBI clearance
• 8+ years in data engineering or platform engineering
• Experience building data platforms from scratch
• Design batch and streaming data pipelines
• Experience with infrastructure-as-code and CI/CD
• Knowledge of data governance practices
• Hands-on cloud experience
• Proficiency in Python and SQL
• Experience collaborating across infrastructure/security boundaries
• Strong analytical and communication skills
• Minimum 12 years work experience with BS/BA

Responsibilities

• Design and build the data and AI platform
• Codify the platform as infrastructure-as-code
• Establish data governance and access control
• Build and manage data ingestion and transformation pipelines
• Ensure compliance with FedRAMP and NIST standards
• Define artifact promotion processes
• Collaborate with cloud engineering
• Support data science and ML teams
• Maintain platform reliability and performance
• Set engineering standards and documentation
