Job summary

BAE Systems is seeking a Principal DevOps Engineer to automate and optimize services for their on-premises Virtual Cloud Computing Center.

Qualifications

• Hold an active Secret clearance.
• Proven experience as a DevOps Engineer or similar role.
• Knowledge of on-premises cloud infrastructure technologies.
• Experience with containerization technologies and orchestration platforms.
• Proficiency in scripting and automation languages.
• Familiarity with automation toolkits.
• Hands-on experience with CI/CD tools.
• Basic knowledge of Linux/Unix systems administration.
• Familiarity with monitoring tools or frameworks.
• Demonstrated problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Implement and maintain the on-premises cloud infrastructure.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define infrastructure requirements.
• Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines for application deployment.
• Automate infrastructure provisioning and configuration management.
• Monitor system performance and conduct root cause analysis.
• Implement security measures to ensure data confidentiality and integrity.
• Troubleshoot and resolve production incidents.
• Stay updated with emerging technologies and best practices.
