Job summary
Seeking a Principal DevOps Engineer to lead migration of deployment automation from IBM UrbanCode Deploy to Octopus Deploy, ensuring compliance with enterprise security standards.
Qualifications
- Minimum 7 years of developer experience with DevOps principles
- Experience migrating deployment automation from legacy platforms
- Proficiency in Groovy scripting
- Strong development experience in C#
- Experience designing and deploying production-ready automation solutions
- Deep understanding of Infrastructure as Code and release management best practices
- Familiarity with configuration as code and RBAC
- Experience with DevOps tools and platforms
- Proficient in Java, Python, Typescript, Groovy, YAML, NPM
- Experience deploying to cloud platforms
- Proficient with IBM Developer for z/OS
- Experience with Mainframe utilities and platforms
Responsibilities
- Lead design and development of Helios CI/CD pipeline
- Migrate CI/CD deployment pipelines from IBM UrbanCode Deploy to Octopus Deploy
- Review and refactor existing UCD deployment scripts
- Develop and optimize deployment automation in Octopus Deploy
- Validate migrated pipelines through testing
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives
- Collaborate with development and infrastructure teams
- Troubleshoot deployment and automation issues
- Contribute to CI/CD platform governance and operational excellence
