Principal Engineer - Backend/Platform Engineering

Job summary

The Principal Engineer in Engineering Productivity builds and improves developer-first platforms and tools that help engineers deliver software faster, more safely, and at scale. The role addresses high-impact challenges across developer workflows, AI-native development practices, pull request reviews, environment provisioning, toolchain consolidation, and engineering quality, working across product, infrastructure, and technical leadership teams.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated expertise in DevEx, DevOps, or platform engineering
• Track record of building products and platforms that engineers value
• Platform-as-a-product mindset focused on engineers' needs and scalable solutions
• Ability to work effectively in ambiguous, rapidly changing environments
• Ability to influence senior technical stakeholders and executives and communicate complex concepts clearly
• Exposure to or hands-on experience with AI-native development practices, spec-driven development, or modern AI development lifecycles
