Principal Engineer - Platform Engineer

Job summary

As a Platform Engineer, you will design, build, and maintain secure, highly available, and scalable infrastructure for next-generation threat prevention platforms. Key responsibilities include architecting Kubernetes clusters on Google Cloud Platform, deploying GCP managed data services like Bigtable and BigQuery, and implementing Infrastructure-as-Code solutions using Terraform to ensure system reliability and performance.

Qualifications

• BS/MS in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related technical field
• Deep, hands-on expertise with Kubernetes (GKE)
• Extensive production experience with ArgoCD for continuous delivery
• Proven proficiency in managing production cloud infrastructure using Terraform
• Direct experience administering and performance-tuning GCP Bigtable and GCP BigQuery
• Strong programming skills in Python, Go, or Bash
• Experience with cloud-native monitoring systems
• Familiarity with cloud security compliance

Responsibilities

• Architect, configure, and maintain high-scale Kubernetes clusters on Google Cloud Platform
• Deploy, scale, and optimize core GCP managed data services
• Design and implement robust Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) solutions
• Build and support robust CI/CD deployment pipelines
• Partner with Data Plane and Data Pipeline engineers
• Drive site reliability engineering (SRE) practices
