Job summary

The Principal Software Engineer will own product features for an event engagement platform while helping shape infrastructure and engineering practices across the wider platform. The role spans full-stack development and DevOps, including AI-powered event engagement, AWS services, CI/CD pipelines, observability, security, reliability, and modernization of legacy systems. The technology stack includes JavaScript/TypeScript, Node.js, Python, React Native, Kubernetes, Terraform, and tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, and Sentry.

Responsibilities

• Own product features from planning through delivery using agile methods, feature flags, testing, and observability.
• Collaborate with product teams to refine plans and identify risks and opportunities.
• Deliver secure, high-performance features across the technology stack.
• Prepare technical proposals, specifications, test reports, and release plans.
• Guide squad-level technical direction, architectural consistency, code quality, and engineering practices.
• Collaborate on AWS infrastructure, including EKS, ECS, EC2, Lambda, CloudFront, and S3.
• Design and improve CI/CD pipelines, progressive delivery, and automated rollback workflows.
• Standardize delivery practices across engineering squads.
• Improve reliability monitoring and early incident detection and resolution.
• Extend observability coverage using Prometheus, Grafana, Sentry, and Datadog.
• Improve platform security through vulnerability scanning, penetration testing coordination, and standards enforcement.
• Contribute to shared architectural standards, libraries, and internal tooling.
• Lead gradual modernization and consolidation of legacy systems while maintaining delivery.
