Job summary
Leads hardware capabilities and infrastructure support for agency objectives, keeping complex Linux cluster environments performant, secure, and resilient. The role spans hardware, storage, and networking architectures; automation with Ansible and SaltStack; virtualized and containerized environments; and technical documentation for long-term system sustainment.

Qualifications
- Active TS/SCI clearance with polygraph
- Expert Linux administration and command-line proficiency
- Develop operational and maintenance automation scripts using Bash and Python
- Install, configure, and maintain COTS, GOTS, and FOSS software across large-scale Linux clusters
- Apply Agency STE/STN security compliance requirements
- Understand compute server components, storage arrays, memory architectures, network fabrics, and database technologies
- Working knowledge of infrastructure as code and configuration management
- Hands-on experience with Docker, Podman, and containerd
- Experience with Fibre Channel-attached storage and Oracle OLVM
- Bachelor's degree in a related technical discipline plus 20+ years of professional software engineering experience, or high school diploma/GED plus 25+ years of hands-on technical software development and big data administration experience
- Familiarity with Kubernetes cluster management and orchestration
- Experience or exposure to Weka, CEPH, GPFS, or HDFS
- Experience with Jira and Confluence
