Job summary

The Principal Infrastructure Engineer role involves producing high-level and low-level designs for Rail projects while ensuring compliance with governance and frameworks. Key responsibilities include managing internal training, planning system changes, and utilizing Kanban for task management, alongside technologies such as Azure, VMware, and PowerShell to support critical infrastructure services.

Responsibilities

• Producing HLD and LLD’s for Rail projects
• Work to GRIP/PACE
• Manage internal infrastructure training using Infrastructure Lab
• Collaborate with Senior Infrastructure Engineer on design changes
• Use Kanban for task management
• Plan and review changes per Change Management guidelines
• Review maintenance plans and documentation
• Establish installation and maintenance guidelines
• Provide timescales for project tasks
• Plan commissioning/decommissioning of systems
