Job summary

Seeking a Principal Kubernetes Control Plane Engineer to architect the foundational control plane for the AI-native NeoCloud platform, focusing on automated systems for managing Kubernetes control planes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or Electrical Engineering.
• 8+ years of software engineering experience with expertise in Go.
• Experience contributing to or extending the Kubernetes ecosystem.
• Track record of operating and scaling large-scale distributed systems.
• Understanding of multi-tenancy models and API governance.
• Familiarity with infrastructure automation and managed cloud services.
• Strong technical leadership and communication skills.
• Experience in high-velocity engineering environments preferred.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement scalable control plane architectures using Cluster API.
• Develop custom Kubernetes Operators and Custom Resource Definitions (CRDs).
• Optimize etcd performance and ensure state management across cloud regions.
• Implement secure, multi-tenant isolation mechanisms at the API server layer.
• Architect solutions for zero-downtime upgrades and multi-cluster federation.
• Collaborate with AI Scheduling and Fabric engineering teams.
• Lead design reviews and mentor engineers.
• Drive platform reliability by mitigating failure modes.
