Job summary

Build and operate an agentic AI platform for regulated scientific modeling workflows, combining a deterministic compute core with policy-controlled AI agents and reproducible, metered, verifiable execution. The role covers tool orchestration, versioned APIs, continuous-integration evaluation, release engineering, and security controls for open-source pharmacometrics and systems pharmacology tools, including the OSP Suite. The platform must support reproducible execution across environments and deployments, including client-hosted and eventually offline installations.

Qualifications

  • At least five years of platform, infrastructure, or backend engineering experience with senior ownership of a production system.
  • Practical experience with reproducible builds, dependency pinning, artifact hashing, immutable versioning, and supply chain integrity.
  • Strong Python skills and familiarity with R and scientific computing toolchains.
  • Experience with containers and infrastructure as code.
  • Experience with workflow or DAG runtimes and AI agent tool-calling systems.
  • Experience designing external-consumer APIs, including versioning and deprecation.
  • Experience securing multi-tenant systems, including isolation, secrets, and authorization.
  • Awareness of risks in language-model-driven systems.
  • Interest in gaining experience with GxP or equivalent regulated software.

Responsibilities

  • Build a deterministic scientific compute core with pinned toolchains and reproducibility tests.
  • Develop the agent harness, including tool routing, policy enforcement, tenant-isolated execution, usage metering, and signed provenance.
  • Provide a versioned API and shared tool contract for AI agents.
  • Package runs so they can be re-executed outside the platform.
  • Run continuous-integration evaluation, conformance, re-execution, and regression tests.
  • Own release engineering, deployment environments, monitoring, and incident handling.
  • Implement technical controls for information security and AI management standards.
