Job summary

The Principal Platform Engineer will lead the design and development of a next-generation global integrity platform, focusing on system architecture, full-stack engineering, and technical leadership.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of software engineering experience in platform or full-stack engineering.
• Proven ability to design and build enterprise-scale platforms.
• Strong experience with system architecture and scalable backend services.
• Deep understanding of data architecture and pipeline design.
• Hands-on experience in cloud environments (AWS, Azure, GCP).
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure automation.
• Strong coding ability in modern backend technologies.
• Experience with modern frontend frameworks.
• Strong database fundamentals across relational and NoSQL systems.
• Experience integrating complex systems across teams.
• Ability to operate independently in high-impact environments.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

• Define and own the end-to-end architecture for a multi-system platform ecosystem.
• Lead architecture decisions across backend systems and integrations.
• Design core data models and integration patterns across systems.
• Establish API-first architecture and interoperability standards.
• Lead foundational data architecture and operational reporting.
• Design for scalability, security, compliance, and extensibility.
• Drive technical decision-making through documentation and reviews.
• Write and deliver production-grade software across services and applications.
• Build and evolve platform capabilities for multiple teams.
• Develop data pipelines and integration layers for systems.
• Contribute to UX/UI decisions for user experiences.
• Improve platform reliability, maintainability, and performance.
• Own integration across operational tools and normalize workflows.
• Establish engineering standards and best practices.
• Serve as a senior technical authority across systems.
• Partner with stakeholders to align technical solutions with goals.
• Translate technical concepts into actionable guidance.
• Evaluate emerging technologies and frameworks.
• Collaborate with external vendors and define acceptance criteria.
