Principal Platform Engineer

Job summary

Raytheon is seeking a Principal Platform Engineer to deploy applications and software to cloud or on-prem environments.

Qualifications

• Experience in Agile/SCRUM/DevOps delivery model.
• Cloud technologies (AWS or Azure).
• Infrastructure as code (Terraform, Puppet, Chef, Ansible).
• Experience in building and deploying large-scale applications.
• Continuous Integration/Delivery pipelines.
• Container platforms and orchestration (ECS, AKS, Kubernetes, Docker).
• Experience in automation and integration tools (Jenkins, Concourse CI).
• Experience in scripting languages and source control.

Responsibilities

• Deploy applications and software to cloud or on-prem environments.
• Build and set up development tools and infrastructure.
• Understand project stakeholders' needs.
• Automate and improve development and release processes.
• Ensure systems are secure against cyber threats.
• Identify technical problems and develop software updates.
• Collaborate with engineers to follow established processes.
