Job summary

As a Principal Site Reliability Engineer at Ves***, you will design, build, monitor, and support the cloud infrastructure for our SaaS platform, focusing on both AWS and Google Cloud Platform.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
  • Experience with large-scale SaaS platforms in a 24x7 environment
  • 5+ years of hands-on experience with Google Cloud Platform
  • Production Kubernetes experience, particularly GKE
  • Proficiency with Infrastructure-as-Code, preferably Terraform
  • Experience with Google Cloud networking
  • Strong programming skills in Python, Go, or TypeScript
  • Ability to raise technical capability through mentorship and documentation
  • Track record of building consensus on technical decisions

Responsibilities

  • Design, implement, and operate scalable, reliable, and secure infrastructure across Google Cloud Platform and AWS
  • Lead greenfield infrastructure builds for new applications and modernize existing infrastructure
  • Solve cross-region, cross-account, and cross-cloud problems
  • Drive automation of infrastructure provisioning using Terraform
  • Establish and maintain comprehensive monitoring and observability practices
  • Cross-train and mentor other engineers
  • Partner closely with development teams for reliability and performance
  • Set technical direction through design reviews and documentation
  • Participate in and improve incident response
  • Improve cost effectiveness of cloud footprint
