Job summary
The Principle Infrastructure Operations Engineer will provide effective support, maintenance, and development for NWAS Server and Cloud Infrastructure. This role involves being the senior authority and Subject Matter Expert for Active Directory, Server, and Cloud architecture, driving continual improvement, and acting as the ultimate escalation point for related issues. The engineer will also work with industry leaders to maintain systems, assess business requirements, and shape Trust policy.
Qualifications
- At least 10 years experience maintaining, supporting, and deploying similar estates
- Possess a full driving license
Responsibilities
- Provide effective support, maintenance, and development to NWAS Server and Cloud Infrastructure
- Ensure IT support is available in the right place at the right time
- Act as the senior authority within NWAS regarding server and cloud environments
- Manage existing and future developments of server and cloud environments
- Serve as the Subject Matter Expert for Active Directory, Server, and Cloud architecture
- Drive continual improvement using technical knowledge and experience
- Act as the ultimate escalation for all Trust Server, Cloud, and Active Directory issues
- Provide advice and guidance to ICT Senior Management Team and the wider engineering team
- Work with industry leaders and experts to maintain systems
- Assess business requirements across the Trust and recommend solutions
- Future-proof design and maintain awareness of technology developments and strategic direction
- Participate in senior meetings and help shape Trust policy
- Ensure designs incorporate resilience, reliability, and sustainability
- Produce, maintain, and control comprehensive system design and configuration documentation
Work schedule
On-Call Rota currently 1 day per week
